Your account and game records
We store your player name, vehicle preferences, saved runs, scores, distances and gameplay statistics, including collected items, damage and earnings. Email accounts also store your verified email address and a password hash, never your readable password. This information lets you sign in, recover your account, save progress and compare results.
Signing in with Google
If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies your account identifier and basic profile information, including your email address. We store the Google identifier to recognise your player account and use your email name to suggest a player name for a new account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, contacts or Drive. You can remove the app's permission in your Google account settings.
What other players can see
Leaderboards show player names and completed-run results, including scores and distances. Choose a player name you are comfortable sharing publicly. Your password, email address and Google identifier are not displayed on the leaderboard.
Cookies, hosting and email
Essential session cookies keep you signed in and protect sign-in requests. Browser storage keeps local settings and unsaved results. Railway hosts the game and database. Resend processes verification, password-recovery and support emails. Messages sent to help@potholerun.com, including attachments, are forwarded to the operator's Gmail inbox. These providers may process data outside Australia. Hosting services may keep technical request logs, and the game records hashed identifiers for abuse throttling. We do not sell player data or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and your choices
Account and run records remain stored while the service operates unless removed. You can ask to access, correct or delete your account and associated records by emailing support; we may need to verify account ownership. Backups and service-provider records may remain for their normal retention periods. Clearing your browser's data signs you out and removes local settings, but does not delete server records.
